| American Origin
The American Passenger or A12 4-4-0 Locomotives were originally ordered from Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, and entered service in 1882. As the original two locomotives performed well, the Railway Department ordered 16 more and subsequently, an order was placed for 25 more from the Brisbane engineering company Evans Anderson and Phelan. The series entered service until 1891 and remained in service until March 1925. |
